The Goose
Personal Sticker Pack
During my time at Bare Tree Media, I had the opportunity to create a personal sticker pack from scratch.
Inspired by the geese that famously stalk almost every park and sidewalk, The Goose is silly, witty, and (a little) intimidating. I had a blast designing him and sneaking in as many goose-related puns as possible.
I created a pack of 16 animated stickers that are available on iMessage, Samsung, TENOR, and GIPHY, where they've accrued more than 10 million combined views!
The Process
Concept
First I brainstormed characters, eventually settling on the goose. Everyone's a little afraid of them, they're goofy looking, "goose" is a really easy word to make puns out of- what's not to like?
So I got to sketching, and created my character turnarounds.
Expression Sheets
Then I sketched out my ideas for each individual sticker, and then put together the illustrations with type treatments, animation plans, and tests for dark mode.
Animation
After that, I went into AfterEffects and brought this goose to life!
Promo and Final Steps
Finally, I designed promo materials for the Apple Store and social media and formatted the stickers in accordance with each platform's specifications.
And since then, The Goose has been live and available to honk and stare judgmentally on any device!
